It can be dangerous and naive to openly criticize governments as being “too extreme” or “too violent.” Why? Because all governments are violent- from the fists of the informal “local government” of a street gang to the nuclear weapons and assassins of the USSR, US, UN or the Vatican.

Governments all are violent systems of wealth redistribution (such as imperialist colonization and extorted tax revenues) and of moral bias. “Moral bias” means that they encourage and subsidize certain patterns of behavior and then discourage others (from charging license fees to punishing with incarceration or public rituals of human sacrifice). Because they are institutions of behavioral conditioning (behavioral influence AKA governing), there is a natural tendency for governments to be interested in public perceptions of legitimacy (which promote behavioral compliance rates) which implies propaganda (perception management, public relations, mind control, indoctrination).

Throughout the Holy Roman Empire (which we could define loosely as all territories that use use the sacred language of Latin as the basis of their sacred court rituals as well as the Roman Catholic Church‘s Gregorian Calendar), we can notice a tendency in recent centuries toward public education and other extremely-elaborate systems of mind control (much more “intensive” than the older systems of religious indoctrination).
